PH interesado na mag-host ng 2033 World Games

ANG Pilipinas ay maaaring maging kauna-unahang bansa sa Southeast Asia na mag host ng prestihiyoso na World Games.
Nagpulong ang International World Games Association (IWGA) na pinamunuan ni president José Perurena Lopez, at Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Patrick Gregorio at Team Philippines chef de mission Stephen Arapoc, sa Intercontinental Century City Hotel sa Chengdu, China Sabado at tinalakay ang 2033 hosting, ayon sa news release.
“The World Games is all about bringing together the athletes and the community for sports. One important aspect in hosting the Games is the involvement of people. You don’t need new facilities. We don’t give it to big cities. What we want is a host that will bring together its people and give the attendees a tournament they will always remember,” Wika ni Lopez.

Sinabi ni Gregorio ang pag host sa 2033 Games,na tampok ang non-Olympic event, ay matamo.
“What we can offer is a game with a heartbeat. We can do this for the Philippines. Imagine getting everyone involved to welcome 110 countries and give them the warmth of Filipino hospitality,” Wika ng PSC chief.
Binanggit rin niya ang mga umiiral na pasilidad sa Manila,Clark sa Pampanga, at Baguio City na kayang gampanan at tanggapin ang libo na athletes, officials at guests.
Bidding ay bukas hanggang 2026.
Karlsruhe City sa Germany ay nagsimula na ang preparasyon para sa 2029 edition at inaasahan na hahakot ng 5,000 athletes sa 34 sports, ang ilan ay puwedeng e-indorso na indigenous game ng host country. (JEFF VENANCIO)
