INILABAS nitong Lunes ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. ang initial findings ng investigation na kanyang iniutos hinggil sa government flood control projects, kungsaan natuklasan na 15 contractors ang nakakorner ng 20 percent ng kabuuang P545.64 billion projects sa loob ng tatlong taon. Wow!!!
Sa pagitan ng July 2022 at May 2025, sinabi ng Pangulo na ang gobierno ay nakapag-award ng 9,855 flood control projects, na ang malaking bahagi ay napunta sa “top 15 contractors” na nagkakahalaga ng P100 billion, mula sa 2,409 contracting entities.
“I don’t know about you, but that is a very big number by any measure. That is an enormous number,” giit ng Pangulo sa press briefing sa Malacañang. “This is a disturbing statistic.”

“Out of those 15 contractors, five of them have contracts across the whole Philippines. Five of these contractors have projects in almost all regions nationwide. That for me stood out very much. Those are the ones that immediately popped that we have to look into more,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
Ang limang construction companies na nakakuha ng atensyon ng Pangulo ay ang Legacy Construction Corporation, Alpha & Omega General Contractor and Development Corporation, St. Timothy Corporation, EGB Construction Corporation, at ang Road Edge Trading & Development Services.
Ang iba pa ay ang QM Builders, Topnotch Catalyst Builders Inc., Centerways Construction and Development Inc., Sunwest Inc., Hi-Tone Construction & Development Corporation, Triple 8 Construction & Supply Inc., Royal Crown Monarch Construction & Supplies Corp., Wawao Builders, MG Samidan Construction, at L.R. Tiqui Builders Inc.
“We will go through every single one and we still have to see what really is credible and what needs to be asked. So, let’s also be fair to everyone and not say, they’re accountable, unless we have a good idea of what we’re talking about,” diin ng Pangulo.

Sinabi ni Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong na hinihintay niya ang patawag ng kongreso para maging resource person ng isinisiwalat niyang matinding lagayan sa pagitan ng ilang kongresista at kontraktor.
Nakahanda rin aniya siyang maging head ng investigation team sakaling kunin siya para imbestigahan ang mga katiwalian sa proyekto ng mga mambabatas.
Si Magalong ay dating hepe ng PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
Ibinunyag niya na halos 40 porsiyento ang ibinubulsa ng mga mambabatas sa bawat proyekto ng mga ito, bagay na inalmahan naman ng ilang kongresista.
Pero nanindigan si Magalong na lahat ng kanyang sinasabi ay pawang katotohanan. Nakahanda aniya siya patunayan ito kapag siya’y inimbitahan ng kongreso kapag nagkaroon ng imbestigasyon sa multi-billion flood control projects.
