SIYAM NA BANYAGA, ARESTADO NG BI-FSU SA PASAY CITY

INARESTO ng Bureau of Immigration-fugitive search unit (BI-FSU) ang siyam na banyaga sa isang enforcement operation sa isang condominium complex sa Pasay City.

Ang naturang operation ay isinagawa ng FSU sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Southern Manila District Field Unit ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) at CIDG Regional Field Unit-NCR.

Ayon sa ulat ni FSU Chief Rendel Ryan Sy, ang nasabing immigration operatives ay sumalakay sa tatlong units sa isang condominium tower sa kahabaan ng Sunrise Drive, Barangay 76, Pasay City, kasunod ng ulat mula sa Chinese authorities ukol sa isang Chinese national na sangkot umano sa residential-based illegal online gambling hub.

Sa naturang operation, natagpuan ng BI operatives ang siyam na banyaga na nagsasagawa ng illegal online gambling activities sa loob ng naturang units. Arestdo ang walong Chinese nationals na nasa 20’s at early 30’s, at isang 33-anyos na Vietnamese national.

“An initial verification by the BI revealed that one of the Chinese nationals had already overstayed after his visa expired, while four others had no recorded arrival in the Bureau’s database, indicating that they may have entered the country illegally. All nine also failed to present valid passports or immigration documents upon the operatives’ request,” ani Sy.

Ang mga inarestong foreign nationals ay inilagak sa BI Warden Facility, kung saan sila mananatili habang nahaharap sa deportation proceedings dahil sa paglabag sa Philippine immigration laws. (JERRRY S. TAN)
