30-70 PERCENT NG NAHUHULING DROGA ‘REWARD’ SA INFORMANT

IBINIBIGAY umano ang 30% hanggang 70% ng nahuhuling ipinagbabawal na gamot sa mga impormante o “asset” bilang reward sa pagbibigay ng tamang impormasyon sa mga operasyon ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Ayon kay House Committee on Dangerous Drugs chairperson at Surigao del Norte Representative Robert Ace Barbers, isiniwalat ito ng dalawang impormante na humarap sa executive session ng komite.

Nangyayari na umano ang kalakarang ito sa nakalipas na dalawang dekada, ayon kay Barbers.

“The testimony of the assets confirmed what we have heard all this time. The illegal practice of giving substantial portions of the drugs seized now has a face. In due time, if evidence warrants, criminal charges will be filed,” sabi ni Barbers.

Nangako si Barbers na kukuha pa ng mga ebidensya at papangalanan ang mga nasa likod ng sistemang ito sa mga susunod na pagdinig ng komite.

“We will not stop until we have unmasked all these crooks in uniform who have doomed so many lives to live in luxury,” dagdag pa ni Barbers.
