TEVES LUMIIT PA ANG MUNDO, INILAGAY NA SA ‘INTERPOL NOTICE’

NAG-ISYU na ng ‘Interpol notice’ laban kay suspended Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr., ayon kay Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla.

“He cannot keep his whereabouts secret anymore since there’s already an Interpol notice about his movements,” pahayag niya sa isang ambush interview nang tanungin kung babalik na sa bansa ang mambabatas.

Si Teves ang itinuturong mastermind sa pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo at siyam pa, at tumangging bumalik sa bansa dahil natatakot daw ito para sa kanyang seguridad.

“The blue notice is there actually. What is happening now is we are informed of his movements by all jurisdictions,” pahayag ni Remulla.

Base sa Interpol, nire-require ng ‘blue notice’ ang member countries na mangolekta ng impormasyon hinggil sa pagkakakilanlan, lokasyon, at aktibidad ng indibidwal kaugnay ng criminal investigation.

“Once he enters a certain jurisdiction, they already inform us of his movements. That’s why Timor-Leste immediately informed the Philippine government of his presence there,” patuloy ni Remulla.

Nauna nang inilahad ng Department of Justice na ipinagbigay-alam ng Philippine Ambassador sa Timor-Leste na si Teves ay nasa Dili, kung saan nag-apply siya para sa protection visa pero hindi ito pinagbigyan, ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs nitong Martes.

Sa halip, binigyan si Teves ng limang araw para umalis ng bansa o maghain ng apela.

Sa hiwalay na panayam, nagpasalamat si Pamplona Mayor Janice Degamo, biyuda ng gobernador, sa pagbasura ng Timor-Leste sa request ni Teves.

Sa kasalukuyan, wala pang komento ang kampo ni Teves.
