IDINAGDAG ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) sina wrestling’s Alvin Aguilar at volleyball’s Donaldo Caringal bilang deputy chefs de mission sa Hangzhou 19th Asian Games.
Inaprobahan ni POC president Rep. Abraham Tolentino ang appointment ni Aguilar, presidente ng Wrestling Association of the Philippines, at Caringal, secretary general ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation.
Sinabi ni Tolentino na ang dalawang karagdagan na slots para sa deputy CDM ay inalok sa POC ng Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee.
Makakasama nila sina sepak takraw head Karen Tanchanco – Caballero at ice skating chief Nikki Cheng na deputies to chef de mission Leyte 4th District Rep. Richard Gomez ng fencing at modern pentathlon.
“The task of the CDM’s office in Hangzhou is not an easy one, considering the size of our delegation and the competition venues,” Wika ni Tolentino.
Ang team Philippines ay binubou ng 395 athletes na sasabak sa 37 sports sa Asian Games na nakatakda sa Setyembre 23 hanggang Oktubre 8.
Hangzhou, ang pangatlong Chinese city na mag host ng games matapos ang Beijing (1990) at Guangzhou (2010) ang mangangasiwa sa 44 venues, una sa lahat sa Hangzhou Olympic Sports Expo Center at Deqing, Jinhua, Ningbo, Shaoxing at Wenzhou.
