Karl Yulo humakot ng 2, golds 3, silvers sa Colombia

HUMAKOT ng limang medalya si Karl Eldrew Yulo sa Pacific Rim Championship na ginanap Abril 26 hanggang 28 sa Cali, Colombia.

Nasungkit ni Yulo ang dalawang gold medals at tatlong silvers ,matapos pamunuan ang Philippine gymnastics team na komolekta ng pangkalahatang walong medalya sa kumpetisyon.

Yulo, kapatid ng two-time Olympian at world champion Carlos, ang nangibabaw sa floor exercise at vault contest.

Ang 17-year-old, lumutang na most bemedalled sa Batang pinoy nakaraang taon may seven medals, nagtapos second sa individual all-around, still rings, at pommel horse para makumpleto ang kanyang five-medal haul.

Ang ina ni Yulo na si Angelica ay pumunta sa Facebook para ipahayag kung gaano siya ka proud sa kanyang anak.

Pinasalamatan rin nya ang mga tao sa likod ng eksena kabilang si Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) president Cynthia Carrion pati na rin ang coach ni Yulo Reyland Capellan.

“Yaaahhhooooo.. You’re undeniably strong and a beast at a very young age. First time to compete at the world stage and yet you’ve finished with flying colors truly indeed that your hard work pays off,” Wika ni Angelica sa post.

John Ivan Cruz, Juancho Miguel Besana, at Ancilla Mari Manzano ang tatlong iba pang medalist ng Philippine team kabilang ang kapatid na babae ni Yulo Elaiza.
