NAKAKA-proud na isang sikat na Hollywood actress ang isa sa mga bida sa isang pelikula na ang direktor, scriptwriter at iba pang cast ay mga Pilipino.

Bida sa pelikulang Bare-Knuckle ang Vietnamese Hollywood actress na si Devon Diep ng sikat na Bling Empire series.

Ang Bare-Knuckle ay sinulat ni Mark Labella at ang direktor naman ay si Alex de Ocampo na kapwa Pilipinong based na sa Amerika.

Dito ay si Devon si Gavrilo.

“Gavrilo is originally written for a man, but then Alex had a great idea, because as soon as we came in to co-produce with Alex, we always have the talks about like how to make the film better so he had this idea to make Gavrilo a woman!

“Like you know, a bad-ass Asian lead character.

“You only see a hint of Gavrilo in the film but the reason why I was so excited about the role, and I was like, ‘Yes!’

“Like immediately, ‘Yes, let’s do it! I love this idea.

“I think it adds making Gavrilo a female character instead kinda add the dynamics of like, ‘Oh!’ You know, it’s like, ‘Whoa!’

“There’s some kinda like an interesting love triangle going on maybe, you know. You just don’t know, there’s a lot of mystery, and a lot of back story to be uncovered makes the audience really curious about like, ‘Wow, how did this start?’

“And the two lead characters, like, what are their relationship like? So I think it’s just a beautiful dynamic and I always have loved to represent strong female lead onscreen because we don’t have that at all, you know.

“I mean, so it was just, I think it was just groundbreaking in that sense to have someone that is bad-ass and of Asian descent.

“So I really enjoy playing Gavrilo and I really hope to see more of her in the full feature,” nakangiting sinabi pa ni Devon.

Nakatakdang gawin ang full-length version ng Bare-Knuckle sa 2025 at malamang dito sa Pilipinas ang lokasyon ng shooting nito.

Lahad pa ni Devon, “It was so easy for me playing Gavrilo!

“I’m so used to like being the Alpha female in real life anyway,” at natawa si Devon.

Ano ang paborito niyang eksena sa Bare-Knuckle?

“My favorite scene, wow! I think it’s the takedown of Jordan who’s our male lead.”

Bida rin naturang short film ang mga American newcomers na sina Jordan Mahr and Michael Naizu.

Pagpapatuloy pa ng Hollywood actress, “The takedown was so fun because we had to train a lot, like for countless nights of stunt training.”

Sulit daw ang pagod at effort nila sa training noong mapanood na ni Devon ang mga fight scenes nila sa pelikula.
