TINIYAK ni Gilas Pilipinas coach Tim Cone na lalaro si Kevin Quiambao para sa last window ng FIBA Asia qualifier.
Inanunsiyo na ni Cone ang paglahok na ni Quiambao sa tropang Gilas practice sa kanilang training camp at lalaro sa third window nitong Pebrero kontra Chinese Taipei at New Zealand.
“Yeah, Kevin is fine. We spoke to him. He’ll be with us in Doha and the trip,” wika ni national team mentor .
Gayunpaman may paniyak pa si Cone na gagamitin niya si Quiambao sparingly sa pagsabak ng Gilas’ para sa 2nd Doha Invitational Cup na sasagupain ang mga koponang Qatar, Lebanon at Egypt sa four-nation friendly na gaganapin sa 14 – 16 ng Pebrerro 2025..

“He’s another guy we’ll take a look at. Talk to trainers and see if he needs load management as well,” dagdag pa ni Cone.
“He needs to be held back at times but right now, he’s telling us that he’s ready to go, 100 percent. That’s the word we got.”
Makabuluhan ang pag – entra ni Quiambao pamalit sa na-injure na 7-foot-3 Kai Sotto na nagtamo ng left torn anterior cruciate ligament.
“I don’t think he even had surgery yet. What I heard last is that the surgery’s gonna be around the first of February. Sometime this week he might have the surgery,” ayon sa decorated tactician .
