Direk Romm humahakot ng kaliwa’t kanang awards

AYAW paawat ang prolific writer/director na si Romm Burlat sa pagsungkit ng awards. Kaliwa’t kanan nga kung manalo lately ng awards si Direk Romm, bilang aktor at director.

Nalaman namin ang kanyang sandamakmak na awards at recognitions base sa magkahiwalay na FB post ni Direk Romm:

“I got 22 international Best Director awards, 12 international Best Actor awards, 2 international Best TV Talk Show host awards, 1 Hall of Fame award, among others.

“With this, I would like to thank the Lord Almighty for giving me more than what I deserve. I would also like to thank the people I have worked with for believing in me and for my bashers, I would like to thank them too because if not of their criticisms, I won’t double time to hone my craft.

“Because of the deluge of awards coming from several international film festivals, the press and people who know me call me “Pandemic Director.”

“Thank You 2020 for all the international awards I reaped in your most challenging year. Thank You to all the international film festivals which recognized all my efforts as a director, actor, TV host and scriptwriter. I will treasure all these awards in my lifetime. “Heavenly Father, you have blessed me more than what I deserve. A million thanks to You our dear Lord. Here’s my hope for 2021: to go mainstream. So please help me God.”

Sa aming panayam sa kanya thru FB, inusisa namin kung ano ang plano niya ngayong 2021?

Tugon ni Direk Romm, “Marami akong plano sa 2021. Two additional TV shows and quite a number of films.

“Ngayong January, we are scheduled to shoot Bata Pa Si Abel, Ibang-Ibang Eba and Mino, a Visayan horror drama movie. I am also hoping to penetrate mainstream movies. Hopefully with God’s grace.”

Ano ang reaction niya, na ang dami na ng kanyang awards as an actor at director?

Sambit niya, “I should say I am blessed. Siguro dahil napaka-hardworking ko and I put my time and effort 100% to my career. I don’t do anything else except to pray and to concentrate on my craft as director and actor, TV host, and talent manager.”

Sinu-sino ang mga talent niya ngayon?

“I don’t handle plenty of talents now, kasi mahirap i-monitor. Mahirap kumuha ng loyalty sa kanila if marami ang hina-handle mo. At the same time, I won’t sign them up for a contract if I feel wala naman akong maibigay na projects.

“So, I limit myself to only a few but loyal talents. They are Ron Macapagal, Rob Torres, the ROMMBoyz, Mika Mijares, Dana Martina, Ezra and a few adult stars,” esplika pa ni Direk Romm.
