APAT NA ILLEGAL ENTRANTS, ARESTADO NG BI SA YATE; DALAWA, WANTED SA TAIWAN

DINAKIP ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang apat na Taiwanese dahil sa iligal na pagpasok sa Pilipinas, kung saan dalawa sa kanila ay wanted sa Taiwan sa drug-related offenses.

Ang operasyon ay isinagawa ng BI Intelligence Division na pinamumunuan ni Fortunato ‘Jun’ Manahan, sa bisa ng mission order na base sa intelligence report at ipinatupad sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Ayon kay Manahan, isinagawa ang enforcement operation sa isang yate sa Island A, Reclamation Area, Pasay City, na nagbunga sa pagkakadakip kina Hung Pin Sheng, 39; Weng Pai Chen, 21; Chen Chin Chih, 22 at Liang Chia Hua, 35.

“A verification by immigration authorities confirmed that all four individuals are Taiwanese nationals. Records further showed that Hung Pin Sheng and Liang Chia Hua have prior criminal records in Taiwan. Meanwhile, Weng Pai Chen and Chen Chin Chih were confirmed to be wanted by the Taiwan Kaohsiung District Court and the Taiwan District Prosecutors Office for drug-related offenses, rendering them fugitives from justice,” ani Manahan.

Ang apat ay iniimbestigahan sa paglabag sa Philippine immigration laws at pagiging ‘fugitives from justice and harboring illegal aliens.’

Mananatili sila sa BI Warden’s Facility sa Bicutan, Taguig City habang nahaharap sa deportation proceedings. (JERRY S. TAN)
