Pulis sangkot sa e-sabong, iniimbetigahan

Pinaiimbestigahan na ni Philippine National Police Chief Gen Dionardo Carlos ang mga pulis na sangkot sa online sabong o online cockfighting games.

Base sa record ng Directorate for investigation and Detective Management, sinabi ni Carlos na 7 pulis na ang inirereklamo kaugnay ng pagkakasangkot sa e sabong mula Enero 1 hanggang Feb 21, 2022.

Aniya, tatlong (3) pulis ang nakatalaga sa Poloce Regional Office 4A, 1 sa Regional Office sa Bicol, 1 Eastern Visaya, 1 sa Highway Patrol Group at 1 sa National Capital Region.



Sinabi ni Carlos na 3 pulis sa Region 4A nahaharap sa reklamong “Unbecoming of a Police Officer for failing to comply with any lawful order of a superior officer and act or behavior of a police officer, irrespective of rank, done in his official or private capacity which, in dishonoring or disgracing himself as police officer, seriously his character and standing in the PNP in such a manner as to indicated vitiated  or corrupt state or moral character which shows his worthiness to remain in the police service.

Habang iba naman ang sumasailailim imbestigasyon at nahaharap sa kasong administrstive na Grave Miscounduct.



Pinatawan naman ng  60 araw na suspensyon si Police Staff Sergeant Jeffrey Cabelin ng PRO8.

Habang si Staff Sergeant Hason Togana Jr., nakatalaga sa HPG, pinatawan ng 6 na buwan suspension.



Samantala si Corporal Moises Yango, sinibak sa serbisyo.

Nagbabala naman si Carlos na magsilbing leksyon ito sa mga kapulisan at hindi ito kukumsintihin ng PNP ang sinoman masangkot sa iligal na aktibidades partikular na sa e-sabong.

“It is unfortunate that we received complaints regarding their involvement in e-sabong, but they must face the consequences of their actions, no matter what their rank is,” saad  ni Carlos.(Mark Obleada)
