PSL’s Rebuilding Champions Leg 2 papalaot sa Mayo 28

ANG Philippine Swimming League (PSL) ay ipagpatuloy ang grassroots development program sa pamamagitan ng Rebuilding Champions Class ABC at Novice Meet Swim Series leg 2 nakatakda sa Linggo, Mayo 28 sa Diliman Preparatory School Swimming pool sa Quezon City.

Nais ipagpatuloy ng Association ang swimming program na iniwan ni PSL president at ang pumanaw na si Susan Papa na maka-diskober ng batang talento sa ibat-ibang parte ng bansa.

“We just want to continue the legacy of coach Susan. It’s her goal to discover young talented swimmers for future international competitions,” Wika ni PSL president Alexandre Papa.



Ang PSL ay naging training ground ng ilang atleta sa Pilipinas kabilang ang Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Claire Adorna ng triathlon at Inaki Lorbes ng aquathlon.

Philippine national junior record holder Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, na nakapasok sa semifinals ng prestigious World Junior Championship nakaraang taon sa Lima, Peru, ay produkto rin ni coach Susan.

“We are inviting everyone to come and join us in this competition. This is just the beginning and we are looking forward to holding tournaments in different parts of the country,” Dagdag ni Papa.

May Tropeo na naghihintay para sa Most outstanding Swimmer (MOS) awardees sa bawat category sa Class A,Class B,Class C, at Novice Division.

Ang Top 3 tankers sa bawat event ay makakuha ng medalya.



Plano ni Papa na magpadala ng ilang numero ng swimmers sa international tournaments sa Thailand, Singapore at Hongkong.

“That’s our plan but we are doing it one step at a time,” Dagdag ni Papa.

Ilan sa top contenders dito sa edition’s PSL Swim Series ay si Manuel Victor Perez — na 22 year-old backstroker.
