EROPLANONG SINAKYAN NI PBBM PATUNGONG SOCOT NAGKA-ABERYA

NAGKAROON ng technical issue ang eroplano na unang sinakyan ni Pang. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. patungong South Cotabato nitong Miyerkules ng umaga, Hunyo 14.

Ito ang kinumpirma ni Presidential Communications Office Sec. Cheloy Garafil kaya hindi agad nakarating ang Presidente sa ilang event sa lalawigan.

Kinailangan pa kasing bumalik ng eroplano ng Villamor Air Base sa Pasay City at gumamit pa ito ng ibang aircraft patungong SoCot.

Kinumpirma naman ni Phil. Air Force spokesperson Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo na nagkaaberya nga ang G280 command and control aircraft na unang sinakyan ng Presidente.

“[It] had to return to base a few minutes after takeoff due to a minor technical issue on the aircraft’s flaps operations. It is nothing serious, but since the PAF maintains the highest standards of flight safety, the pilots decided to do a precautionary return to base and have the aircraft thoroughly checked. There was a ready back up aircraft, which is a C295, and so the presidential movement was resumed immediately,” pahayag ni Castilo.

Kasabay nito, ligtas namang nakarating si Pangulong Marcos sa SoCot at maging ang mga kasama nito.

Sinasabing alas-9:00 ng umaga dapat ang aktibidad ng Pangulo sa probinsya.

Gayunman, dahil sa aberya ay alas-12:00 na ito ng tanghali natuloy.

Samantala, na-delay rin ang mga aktibidad ni PBBM sa Albay, kabilang ang pagbisita sa ilang evacuation sites sa naturang lalawigan. (Gilbert Perdez)
