NAKATSIKAHAN namin si Kier Legaspi nung Miyerkules ng tanghali. Fresh at guwapo ito. Kinumusta namin agad siya.
“Hello, hello, I’m very happy. I’m married and I’m satisfied. I’m very satisfied. I’m living a quiet life now.”
Matagal siyang nawala sa eksena. Ano ang naging dahilan? Nanibago at nagsawa kaya siya sa showbiz? Hindi kinaya ang mga intriga?
“Yah you know what, huminto ako for a while kasi nga na ano ako, na burn out sa acting kasi matagal na ako umaarte and then, I love acting so much na nung naramdaman kong medyo nabu-burn out ako, I stopped kasi nawawala ‘yung performance mo eh. ‘Yung init mo sa pag-arte and also nag-focus ako sa iba’t ibang bagay like I got married and nagtayo kami ng business ng wife ko so everything went well naman so ngayon bumalik na ulit ako parang I’m okay now, nami-miss ko talaga ‘yung acting,” paliwanag niya.
Isang magaling na aktor si Kier. Kaya ngayong nagbabalik siya, may offer agad siya sa GMA-7, ang “Black Rider” kung saan isang kidnapper ang kanyang karakter.
“I’m thankful kasi pilot week talaga, so sa unang week ayun ang exposure ko talaga and I’m very happy na naging part ako ng Black Rider.”
Naku wala akong narinig. Sa ano ko naman, I just wish her the best you know and I’m sure maaayos din naman lahat ‘yan in God’s time and bilang ama kahit ano namang mangyari mahal mo ‘yung anak mo eh. So I’m just here waiting, open naman ang line ko. Wala naman akong sinaradong pintuan. I’m just here you know especially now, nandiyan naman ang social media. Madali akong ma-reach or makausap,” kwento niya.
Pero nagre-reach out ka?
“Nagre-reach out? Honestly speaking, I didn’t give up but I stopped. I stopped kasi ano eh, alam mo ‘yung pilit mong hinahabol, dati pa hinahabol mo pero ‘yung hinahabol mo naman tumatakbong papalayo. Mayroon kang hinahanap pero ‘yung hinahanap mo parang nagtatago so sabi ko ‘okay’. Pinasa Diyos ko nalang lahat. Nung sinabi kong I stopped meaning I’m just here, medyo napapagod lang si tatay mo. That’s all. But I’m happy kung tatawag siya like I said, open ‘yung line. Walang problema ron, anytime pwede akong makipag-usap sa kanya,” pagpapatuloy niya.
Kumusta kayo ng bagong wife mo?
“Going 9 years na pero bago kami magpakasal 9 years na kaming boyfriend and girlfriend so technically 18 years together. So part na talaga siya. Sobra-sobrang daming adjustments nung kinasal but okay lahat. I’m very happy now. We have a restaurant, ganoon and then sometimes tumutulong- tulong din ako sa business niya you know syempre you help your wife as much as I can.”
Bakit food ang napili niyong business?
“Actually ano siya, business siya ng in laws ko and then binless kami na, binigyan kami ng branch. I’m grateful and thankful sa in laws ko and I’m happy for my wife.”
Ilan ang anak niyo?
“Ah ngayon wala pa kami kids but okay naman sa kanya kasi workaholic talaga siya so hindi niya first priority na magkaroon ng anak,” pagtatapos ni Kier.

COOL CAT ASH DIVES INTO THE MEANING OF LOVE IN “I FIND. LOVE. SO. SO. WEIRD.” ALBUM
SINGER-songwriter Cool Cat Ash takes on a journey of seeking and understanding love in her new album “i find love. so. so. weird” to be released this Friday, October 27.
The album includes 13 tracks which are all written and produced by Cool Cat Ash who is also known as Ashley Aunor. After dabbling in the genres of novelty and rock, she now steps into the world of pop leaning into a more chill and lo-fi vibe.
“Hindi ko in-expect na ilalabas ko itong songs in the first place. Star Music encouraged me to write more upbeat and pop songs because they believed in me, so I’m very happy that they supported me in that way,” said Cool Cat Ash on exploring a new genre.
In the key track “i find love. so. so. weird,” Cool Cat Ash details the vulnerability of love and how it can be scary to fall for someone.
“It’s all about me finding love so weird kasi medyo allergic ako sa romantic love. I feel like I’m too scared to fall deeply in love and I’m scared of being vulnerable and intimate with anyone. For this, na-feel ko yung peer pressure mula sa mga taong nahanap na yung taong mahal nila,” she explained during her album launch held last Wednesday, Oct. 25.
She was hailed as Rock Artist of the Year at the PMPC Star Awards 2022 and Novelty Artist of the Year last 2021 while her song “Mataba” won Novelty Song of the Year. She is also a part of the songwriting and production duo “Aunorable Productions” with her sister and fellow singer Marion Aunor.
As a recording artist, she has released several singles including “Changes,” “Best Friend,” and “Gone Too Soon.”
