KABUUANG 300-350 shooters ang inaasahang lalahok sa 46th Southeast Asian Shooting Association Championship mula Nobyembre 24 hanggang Disyembre 14.

Tampok a tournament ang practical shooting, , sporting clays, bench rest, at Olympic shotgun kabilang ang trap at skeet shooting.

“It’s almost like a fiesta. We’re pretty excited about it, although a bit tiring to prepare,” Wika ni Philippine National Shooting Association (PNSA) secretary-general Irene Garcia sa Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum sa VIP Room ng Rizal Memorial Coliseum Martes.



Ang kumpetisyon ay gaganapin sa koordinasyon ng Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA).

“We just want the whole shooting community to work together, because at the end of the day, Filipinos love to shoot, we really do. And we really excel in shooting,” Tugon ni Garcia sa Linggohang session na dinaluhan rin ni bench rest shooter Richard Cases.

Hagen Topacio, Eric Ang, at Olympian Jethro Dionisio ang mangunguna sa trap shooters, habang si Enrique Leandro Enriquez at Olympian Bryan Rosario ang sa skeet event.

Kabilang sa mga entries sa women’s division ay sina Valerie Levanza, Abby Cuyong, Amparo Acuna, at Franchette Quiroz.

Ang tournament ay gaganapin sa Magnus-Frontsight Firing Range sa Lipa City, Batangas.
