MAGTUNGGALI ang Gilas Pilipinas at Macau Black Bears sa Hulyo 28 sa Araneta Colesium bahagi preparasyon para sa 2025 FIBA Asia Cup.
Ang tune-up ay magsilbi ring send-off para sa Gilas Pilipinas bago umalis patungong Jeddah,Saudi Arabia.
Gilas ay ka grupo ang New Zealand, Chinese Taipei, at Iraq para sa first round ng event na naka iskedyoul sa Agosto 5 to 17.
Ang Macau Black Bears ay binubuo ng locals,mixed heritage players at imports.
“Playing tuneup games before Gilas dives into the FIBA Asia Cup will only help the team out,” Wika ni Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) President Al Panlilio sa press statement Miyerkules.
“While the team gets good competition, it’s also an opportunity for our Gilas fans to band together and send their team off before they fly out to Saudi Arabia. It’s a short preparation window as many of our players saw action in the semifinals of the Philippine Cup, which was another reason why the SBP wanted Gilas to have a tuneup game here.”
Ang Black Bears ay nagkaroon na dati ng tune-up games laban sa national teams.Tinalo nila ang Chinese squad, 83-78, nakaraang taon.
“They beat the Chinese national team. They are really strong. They’ve got good imports. It could be a very interesting friendly for us,”Sambit ni Gilas coach Tim Cone, na dinala ang Philippine team sa gold medal finish sa 2022 Asian Games sa Hangzhou, China.
Ang Macau Black Bears, na ginagabayan ni Garrett Kelly, ay sumabak sa East Asia Super League. Ang team na dating tanyag na Chong Son Kung Fu at naglaro sa ASEAN Basketball League mula 2017 hanggang 2018.
