International Dance Day Celebration to be Held on April 29

Radyo Balintataw host and Ramon Magsaysay awardee Cecile Guidote-Alvarez sent me a message that the International Dance Day celebration will take place on 29 April 2026 in Manila, Philippines.
Conceived as both an artistic and public encounter, the celebration will bring together professional dance artists, cultural practitioners, communities, and international representatives highlighting the diversity and vitality of dance as a universal language.
The event is organized by the Philippine Centre of ITI (International Theatre Institute) as a major national initiative within the global framework of International Dance Day, with the ITI General Secretariat supporting for international communication, global visibility, and coordination within the ITI Network.
The program on April 29 will constitute the core artistic International Dance Day event associated with ITI Worldwide, featuring performances and artistic exchanges that celebrate the power of dance to connect people across cultures.
