SUPREME COURT IBINASURA HIRIT NI BATO VS ICC WARRANT

IBINASURA ng Korte Suprema en banc ang petisyon ng kampo ni Senator Bato Dela Rosa na humihiling ng Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) at/o Status Quo Ante Order (SQAO).

Sa manifestations ng senador, humingi siya ng TRO at/o SQAO upang pigilan ang Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Justice, Philippine National Police, National Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Immigration, Armed Forces of the Philippines, at Criminal Investigation and Detection Group na hulihin siya batay sa anumang warrant mula sa International Criminal Court (ICC), red notice at diffusion mula sa International Criminal Police Or-ganization, o anumang foreign judicial o quasi-judicial instrument nang walang Philippine judicial warrant.

Pinagpasyahan lamang ng Kataas-taasang Hukuman ang mga kahilingan sa boto na 9-5-1 para sa interim relief. Ang mga pangunahing isyu na inihain ng mga partido sa kanilang pleadings at motions ay hindi pa nareresolba sa pangunahing kaso.

“The SC only decided on the prayers for interim relief. The main issues raised by the parties in their pleadings and motions are yet to be resolved in the main case,” bahagi ng press briefer ng SC.
