PDP, LALABANAN LAHAT NG TANGKANG PAGPAPATAHIMIK SA LEGITIMATE OPPOSITION

NAGLABAS ng pahayag ang Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) na kinokondena ang planong preliminary investigation laban kina Senator Loren Legarda at anak nitong si Batangas representative Leandro Leviste at maging kay dating Secretary Alfonso Cusi.
Ayon kay PDP spokesman Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, walang basehan ang nasabing kaso at layon lamang umanong i-harass ang legitimate opposition.
Pinuna din ni Topacio na ang pagkakasama kay Cusi bilang isa sa respondents ay dumating sa gitna ng ‘reorganization and strengthening of the PDP last July 25 where Cusi was overwhelmingly elected as party chair.’
“We in the PDP shall resist all attempts to muzzle political dissent with all legal means at its disposal,” ani Topacio.
“While we in the PDP have – time and again – made it clear that we are against extra-constitutional regime change and violence of any kind in pursuit of any political ends, the growing unrest in the grassroots precisely because of blatant moves by the government to stifle the people’s voices and choices, can no longer be ignored,” dagdag pa niya.
