‘CASE CLOSED!’ DEGAMO MURDER TUKOY NANG LAHAT ANG MASTERMINDS

ITINUTURING ni Department of Justice Crispin Remulla na “case closed” ang kaso ng pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo at walong iba sa pagkakadakip sa isa sa itinuturing na “mastermind” na si Marvin Miranda, isang Army reservist.

Ayon kay Remula, nadakip si Miranda ng mga Special Task Force Group Degamo sa Barangay Barbaza, Antique, March 31.

Si Miranda ang isa sa masterminds sa karumal-dumal na pagmasaker kay Degamo at walo pang indibidwal nang pasukin ng armadong grupo ang compound ng bahay ng governor sa Baybay, Pamplona, Negros Oriental noong Marso 4.

“With the help of the NBI and the NPS and together of course with the DILG and the PNP and most especially I would say the AFP through the ISAFP and their other special units, we can say we have made significant progress in finally putting this case to a close,” ani Remulla.

Ayon kay Remulla, nasa 11 suspek sa pagpatay kay Degamo at walo pa ang hawak ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na kakasuhan ng multiple murder, frustrated murder at attempted murder.

Inihalintulad ni Remulla sa paggawa ng pelikula kungsaan si Miranda ang tumatayong director at casting director, habang si Congress Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves, Jr. ang producer o executive producer.

“Now going to the role of Marvin who I said is a major player and one of the masterminds. Kung sa sine natin titingnan ito, analogy to a movie, si Marvin was a director, producer of the props and casting director. Siya yung nag-recruit ng mga tao, siya ang talagang kumuha sa mga tao at nag-recruit sa kanila. Si Cong. Teves was the producer or executive producer of the whole production.

Sinabi ni Remulla na ang problema lang “hindi sine, totoo ‘yung nangyari, talagang pinatay nila si Gov. Degamo at 8 pa ang dinamay nilang pinatay din at maraming nasaktan at yung mga actor dito yung 11 mga nakakulong ngayon. Nakita na natin kumbaga sa pulis ‘case closed’ na ito, prosecution na tayo pagkatapos.”

Inihayag din ni Remulla na sumusunod si Miranda sa utos mula sa alias na “Boss”. “Ito, Cong. Kalbo, na sa kalaunan pinangalang si Cong. Arnie Teves, Arnolfo Teves.”

Sa record, matagal nang bodyguard si Miranda ni Congressman Teves na naaresto noong June 29, 2022 sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 10591, The illegal possession of firearms. (Mark Obleada)
