MPBL, KINASTIGO ANG ILOILO TEAM

NAGBABA ang Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) ng decision to revoke franchise bilang tugon sa problema dulot ng paglabag ng ILOILO UNITED ROYALS sa rules and agreement ng Liga.

Ang paglabag ng koponan ay ‘abandoning obligations, at unpaid salaries, kaya permanently banned na ang team officials nito, abandoning players tulad nina VIC MANUEL, KYT JIMENEZ at JONAS SENA. Makaraan ang leave of absence ng team last year, sa 2025 Season , ito na ang lagay ng koponan, “indefinite suspension of all league privileges.” Ayon sa ilang Sports followers, time to enforce strict rules sa ilang ‘pasaway’ o negligent members. Masyado na po bang naging maluwag ang pro league founded by World 8 Division Boxing Champ cum Basketball lover MANNY ‘Pacman’ PACQUIAO? So be it! After all, considering na professional league na ang MPBL professionalism of its members should be well observed.

Ang mensahe ng liga ” The MPBL remains committed to protecting the integrity of the league, the interests of the stakeholders, partners and sponsors, and the welfare of its teams, players, partners and fans.” So, yun na! Lessons learned, alam na!

ADMU VS DLSU PA RIN SA LAGLAGAN ISYU NG ATENEO

BOOM talaga ang isyu ng ATENEO Aqua Training Tragedy na ikinalunod nina star players Palarong Pambansa MVP RENE CLERT ‘”BOBET” BATERBONIA, 19 y/o at Nigerian import CHUKWUEMEKA DIVINE ADILI, 21 y/o, na ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP) at Criminal Investigation & Detection Group (CIDG) ay possible ang homicide o initiation sa kaso, binuwisan ng buhay ng 2 very promising young student athletes.

Kumalas sa ATENEO ang matitinik na teammates ni ‘BOBET’. Lumipat sa De La Salle Santiago Zobel (DLSZ), sina .MACKY PELIGRINO, MATT CAYETANO, RHYSUS BAJENTING at JM SANORIA. Alam na too close rivals ang ATENEO at LA SALLE sa University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).

On the other hand, nagkomento si Sports broadcaster QUINITO HENSON, DLSU alumnus, na dapat ” WIthdraw from all UAAP Sports” na ang ATENEO, for delicadeza? May point talaga, sigaw ng netizens, not only for rivalry.

Well, unang inilaglag ng ATENEO si Coach TAB BALDWIN, na hindi nila alam ang Open Sea Training sa Dipaculao, Aurora. Nagresign sina Coach TAB at TM EPOK QUIMPO, naka-bar sa UAAP ang team officials na sangkot sa tragedy, but walang decision ang ATENEO to withdraw or take a leave of absence. Nag-protesta na ang ATENEO students on stunning demise of two fellow students na apparently ay neglected ng school. Ano na kaya ang next? Abangan! Meanwhile, let’s pray for justice, JUSTICE for RENE CLERT and DIVINE, both pride of Philippine Sports.
