Jodi hindi tumagging makapareha si Aga

Plano sanang magpahinga muna sa pag-arte si Jodi Sta. Maria matapos maging abala sa kanyang mga proyekto ngayong taon. Gayunman, nang ialok sa kanya ang sequel ng pelikulang Miracle in Cell No. 7, hindi niya nagawang tanggihan ang proyekto.

Ngayong 2026, tatlong pelikula ang pinagbidahan ni Jodi: “Midnight Girls,” “Ganito, Ganyan, Ganoon,” at ang nalalapit na “Edjop.”

Sa “2nd Miracle in Cell No. 7,” gagampanan ni Jodi ang papel ni Angela, asawa ni Lito (Aga Muhlach) at ina ni Yesha (Xia Vigor).

Sina Aga at Yesha ang mga pangunahing tauhan sa sequel ng 2019 Filipino adaptation ng Miracle in Cell No. 7.

Ayon kay Jodi, napag-usapan na ng kanyang management na sapat na ang dami ng kanyang mga proyekto ngayong taon at kailangan na muna niyang magpahinga.

“This project came as a sweet surprise. Napag-usapan ng management ko na I think this year quota na ako sa projects na nagawa ko,” ani ng aktres.

“Rest na lang muna and then next year na lang. But this project came along, how do you say no to this?” dagdag niya.

Ikinuwento rin ni Jodi na agad niyang binasa ang script nang matanggap niya ito at nagustuhan niya ang proyekto.

“The script was sent over. Binasa ko, nag-pitch sila—I want to do this. Kaya sinabi ko, I am good for one more to end this year.”

Mapapanood ang pelikula bilang isa sa mga entry sa 52nd Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) ngayong Disyembre.

Samantala, sinabi ni Aga Muhlach na si Jodi ang una nilang napili para gumanap bilang kanyang asawa sa pelikula.

“Nakita natin kung gaano kagaling ang kasama ko. Kaya nung napag-usapan na gagawin ito at maging asawa at nanay ng anak ko—siya kaagad,” sambit ng aktor. “Impossible hindi siya ang gumanap.”

Ang unang pelikulang “Miracle in Cell No. 7” ay naging top-grosser sa 45th MMFF at kumita ng mahigit P540 milyon..

Answer: “For me, a gentleman with a noble heart is not defined by how he dresses or looks, but rather how he threats people with respect. This is something that i learned from my father who has passed away. He taught me that regardless who they are — rich, poor or what gender they choose — respect must always come first.
“In today’s generation, many have forgotten how to treat others with respect. But I am here right now standing in front of you to be a reminder to each and everyone, especially the youth out there, to treat everyone with respect and kindness, because I believe the things you do in life reflex in return”
