WHY I AM VOTING FOR BBM

WHY am I voting for BBM?

First, BBM, or Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is, by now, just five days away from the national and local elections of 2022, the clear choice of God to be this country’s next president. Since day one of the campaign, he has consistently topped all pre-election surveys conducted by pollsters, big or small.

Not one among his rivals managed to just even come close to the numbers garnered by BBM in all these surveys. Then, too, BBM enjoyed the longest motorcades of supporters and attendance of mammoth crowds in his rallies everywhere in the country.

In a country like the Philippines where the voice of the people is considered to be the voice of God, God has already spoken. It is BBM by a wide mile.

Second, and I am basing this principally on what his running mate Sarah Duterte said during their miting de avance in Guimbal, Iloilo in the evening of May 03, 2022, BBM is not one who “will sleep with the enemy of the country”.

This means, Sarah hastened to add, BBM is not capable of consorting with groups whose main objective is to topple the Filipino government with the use of arms.

Which, Sarah said, is very much unlike the candidate who pretends to be the second contender who is now widely touted to have entered into an alliance with those groups just to win.

Third, I cannot simply support the people behind this second contender. They are utterly useless and are hypocrites through and through. They have been in power since 1986, and yet they had not done anything to push this country forward.

They claim to be morally and intellectually superior all the time, talking and acting as if they are the only ones who are righteous, yet they are the ones capable of selling the souls of their very parents just to gain political mileage.

For the long years they had been in power, the people behind this second contender were more concerned with fattening their pockets and their bank accounts, and the pockets and bank accounts of their relatives, associates, and political sycophants.

They furiously worked, not to better the condition of the people, but to disparage BBM’s father and family, so they can continue to commit the very crimes they accused BBM with.

If the truth be told, the phenomenon of the BBM-led surveys, and of the inevitability of a BBM presidency, are both being attributed to this fact—the Filipino nation hates the second contender because the people behind her are the ones truly guilty of stealing from Filipinos and of abusing government for their own interests.
