300 preso inilipat sa Palawan

Inilipat sa Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF) sa Palawan ang 300 na person deprived of liberty (PDL) mula sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP) sa Muntinlupa City noong Linggo.

“We continuously transfer PDLs to various operating prison and penal farms of Bucor to decongest the NBP and to augment the manpower requirements of other prison facilities which have food production projects,” ayon kay Director General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr.
Dumating Ang 300 na PDL sa IPPF noong Linggo nang umalis sa NBP noong Sabado.

Sinabi rin nito na ang mga PDL, sinamahan ng 100 na corrections officers kabilang na ang mga miyembro ng Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) at mga medikal na tauhan.

Ang paglipat tinulungan din ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at Philippine Coast Guard.
