Dalawa sa students ko sa Holy Angel University ay sumabak na rin sa showbiz

DALAWA sa mga naging estudyante ko sa Holy Angel University sa Angeles City ay sumabak na sa mundo ng entertainment industry. Ito’y sina Jade Maris at Ell Ocampo.

Si Jade Maris ay lumabas sa mga commercial tulad ng PAG-IBIG Fund, PsBank, Magic Creams kasama si Donny Pangilinan, Grab, Payless Pancit Canton, Jollibee Chicken Joy, Cliqq Card-7 Eleven, Jollibee Aloha Burger, at TGP kasama si Jericho Rosales. Lumabas din siya sa pelikula hinggil sa buhay ni Jose Abad Santos na ginampanan ni Richard Cepeda (kasama sa nasabing pelikula sina Marina Benipayo at Alex Medina). Siya’y resident theater actress ng Uyat Artista, isang Aliw Award at L.E.A.F. Award winning theater group na nakabase sa Angeles City.

Samantalang si Ell Ocampo, na kasalukuyang abala sa mga pagsasanay sa performing arts, naging isa sa 12 finalists ng Idol Philippines, isang reality-TV singing competition ng ABS-CBN. Naalala ko sabi niya sa akin noon: “I feel more empowered to be myself because of all the support and recognition I have received both from the audience and the judges. Particularly, during the live rounds, when I just decided to let my inhibitions go and just do what I can… Music has always been a big part of my life. I love music that gives me a different perspective of the world. I love music that tells stories. And I would love to make music that would do the same for their people.”
