ILALATAG ng Philippine Youth Basketball Championship (PYBC), ang makabago na plataporma para sa future stars, sa Agusto ngayong taon.
Ang inaugural season, na tatakbo hanggang Hunyo 2026,ay may dalawang conferences na may rotating age divisions sa ilalim ng single round-robin format.
Ang first conference, ay naka iskedyul mula Agusto hanggang Oktubre,tampok ang Under-11 11 (born 2014), Under-13 (born 2012), at Under-15 (born 2010) divisions.
Tournament format ay single-round eliminations, quarterfinals, knockout semifinals, at best-of-3 finals.
PBA Legend Benjie Paras (commissioner), Women’s Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (WMPBL) coach Paolo Layug (deputy commissioner) at Momentum PH founder Carl Villanueva (tournament director) ang mamumuno sa liga, layunin na magbigay ng top-notch action na naka focus sa detalye at pinagsamang tradition at analytics.
“I think the most important thing for data and analytics, not only for the youth but basketball players in general, is to make things simple,” Wika ni Layug sa press statement Martes.
Ang PYBC’s program ay may structured competition at may kumpletong digital solutions.
“It’s important, especially at the younger age groups, to be able to record the statistics and be able to have that data over a long period so players can also track their progress as they grow older,” Wika ni Layug.
Layunin rin ng Liga na maging pioneer na gamitin ang player ranking per age group, na kupkupin ang sistema na ginagamit sa US at Europe.
