Isa sa mga lead stars ng pelikulang Open Endings si Jasmine Curtis-Smith na isa sa mga kasali sa 13th QCinema International Film Festival (Asian Next Wave competition section).

Sa tingin ba ni Jasmine ay may laban siya bilang Best Actress para sa Open Endings?

“’Of course,” tumatawang bulalas ng aktres. “Well, lahat kaming apat may laban as Best Actress dito.”

Kasama ni Jasmine sa Open Endings sina Janella Salvador, Leanne Mamonong at Klea Pineda.

“Kasi to be honest ha, this is Klea’s first film, this is Leanne’s first film, yeah, surprisingly first nila. But you know what, their timing… their comedic timing, the way they really level up their acting, parang matagal na silang nagpe-pelikula.

“I mean, they’re also trained in their own respective fields, so I think naman hindi kagulat-gulat for me, but I think for many people watching Open Endings and may have not been familiar with their acting chops, talagang maano sila.

“Leanne and Klea are both revelations here and Janella, obviously, always on point.”

Hindi ka ba nahirapan mag-adjust na yung dalawa sa kasama mo, baguhan sa pelikula?

“Hindi, hindi naman.

“Kasi ang magaling dun is that I think naman, si Klea and Janella obviously may TV background na and Klea also trained na yan in her acting chops so it was more of her discovering what a film set is like, ano ang pinagkaiba niya sa TV and then Leanne naman she has her background in music and she has a band, she has a duo and also she does solo gigs as well, sanay na rin siya sa audience and sanay na rin siya sa performing,” sinabi pa ni Jasmine.

Ang QCinema 13 ay mapapanood sa mga piling sinehan sa Quezon City tulad ng Gateway, Trinoma, Eastwood, Fishermall, Cloverleaf at Robinsons Galleria mula Nobyembre 14 hanggang 23 at ang ticket price ay 250 pesos.

Sa direksyon ni Nigel Santos, ang gala ng Open Endings ay sa November 16 sa Gateway Cinema 11, 2:35 ng hapon at mapapanood rin sa November 17, 3:30 ng hapon sa Trinoma Cinema 3.
