MAG-ASAWANG DISCAYA KINASUHAN ULI SA FLOOD CONTROL SCAM

NAGHAIN ang Office of the Ombudsman nitong Huwebes, Hunyo 4, ng rekla-mong graft at malversation sa kontratistang mag-asawa na sina Curlee at Sarah Discaya, at mga opisyal ng DPWH kaugnay sa maanomalyang flood control project sa Calumpit, Bulacan.
Ang kaso ay nag-ugat sa proyekto para sa rehabilita-syon ng river structure sa Bulusan, Calumpit ng DPWH Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office (DEO).
“Through the collective acts of the accused, undue injury was caused to the government and unwarranted benefit was given to the contractor St. Timothy Construction Corporation in the grand amount of more or less P53.9 million,” ayon sa DPWH.
Si Curlee ay kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng Senado habang ang asawang si Sarah ay naka-detain sa Cebu sa hiwalay na graft at malversation charge kaugnay naman ng P96.5 milyong “ghost” flood control project sa Davao Occidental.
