“I WILL ALWAYS BE PROUD TO BE FILIPINO!” ~ANNE CURTIS

Umiwas si Anne Curtis na sagutin ang tanong tungkol sa isyu ng mga halfies (half Pinoy at half foreigner) na nag-ugat sa kontrobersiyang kinasangkutan ng mga male pageant winners na sina Jether Palomo at Brandon Espiritu na parehong half Pinoy/half Amerikano.

Kamakailan ay na-bash na husto sina Brandon at Jether nagsimula sa post si Jether ng “I pledge allegiance to the flag [US] flag” sa kanyang IG Story.

Nag-comment dito si Brandon ng, “Raise that flag brother.”

Isang netizen ang nagkomento kina Jether at Brandon ng, “The question is at least one of you represented the Philippines but no one sang in Tagalog.”

Sinagot ito ni Brandon ng, “because we aren’t from the Philippines. Why would we lie?”

Sumagot muli ang netizen, “Then you should have represented your country.”

At ang sagot ni Brandon na umani ng batikos at panlalait ay, “Tell that to all the front runners for the Philippines. This country wouldn’t have a chance on the national stage without us halflies.”

Going back to Anne, ayon sa kanya ay

ipinagmamalaki niya ang pagiging Pilipino.

“I don’t even wanna comment on it,” unang sagot ni Anne tungkol sa halfie issue.

“I am proud to be a halfie, but I’m also very proud of my Filipino roots.

“This is my home. This is where I choose to be.

“Everyone has their own opinion but for me, I will always be proud to be Filipino.

“Whenever I’m on global stage, I’m representing the Philippines.

“When I’m invited, the seat is for the Philippines, so I’m always proud.

“When they ask me, ‘Where are you from?’ ’The Philippines!’

“I will always be proud of that.”

“Kanya-kanya naman yan, e. It’s up to them.

“But for me, personally, as halfie, yes, I’m also proud of being half-Australian, which was my dad’s part of me.

“But I’m also very to be Filipino kaya ako nandito.”

Nagpatawag ang Viva Artist Agency at Viva Films ng isang Thanksgiving mediacon para sa Diyosa nilang si Anne bilang pasasalamat sa napakaraming mga blessings na dumarating kay Anne kahit nangangalahati pa lamang ang taong 2026.

Isa sa mga pinagkakaabalahan ni Anne, bukod sa It’s Showtime, ay ang upcoming series na BuyBust: The Undesirables mula sa direksyon ni Erik Matti at mapapanood sa Netflix.

“I’m back in my action era, but it’s a totally different story from what you’ve seen in the [2018] film.

“Yung film kasi nangyari lang yan, isang gabi. Ito, it’s a nine-episode series, but it’s a totally different world.

“We’ve been working on it siguro mga three years na. I mean, sobrang pagod na kasi siyempre action.

“Pero when I see the preview, sabi ko, grabe, sobrang ganda, sobrang worth it.

“And I can’t wait for the world to see it. Malapit na malapit na,” sinabi pa ni Anne.

Sa naturang Thansgiving ni Anne, bukod sa masayang tsikahan at masarap na pagkain ay namigay rin si Anne ng mga produktong ini-endorso niya tulad ng Century Tuna, Cetaphil, Enervon vitamins at Abenson.
