FIRST LADY LIZA MARCOS, MAYOR ISKO, PINANGUNAHAN ANG PAGBUBUKAS NG ASEAN ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL

Pinangunahan ni First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos ang pagbubukas ng Anthology ASEAN Architecture Festival 2026 sa Foro de Intramuros at Museo de Intramuros sa Maynila kamakailan lamang.

Kasama sina Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, festival curator William Ti, Jr. of WTA Architecture and Design Studio at Architect Rebecca Ti, nanguna din si First Lady sa ribbon-cutting ceremony sa Museo de Intramuros nitong Oktubre 2, kasama na din ang international architects na bumibisita sa makasaysayang distrito.

Sa ilalim ng temang “Shared Ground: Care, Culture and Collective Futures,” nagtipon sa nasabing event ang 128 speakers at 4,000 attendees mula sa iba’t-ibang bahagi ng Southeast Asia. Kasama ding dumalo ang mga opisyal ng Pieni surfaces, na isa sa mga sponsors ng nasabing event.

Ang Pieni Surfaces “is a Philippine company specializing in decorative surface finishes and European specialty coatings, including microcement, mineral paints and textured wall finishes that are ‘built to last.’ It serves architects, interior designers, contractors and property owners working on residential, commercial and hospitality projects.”

Nagsama-sama din sa Maynila ang mga arkitekto mula sa iba-ibang panig ng mundo para sa tatlong araw na festival, na nagtampok ng mga forum kung saan ang mga ‘architects around the world explore architecture, culture, and ideas for future-ready cities.’

Sa kanyang speech, sinabi ni Moreno na “ASEAN countries’ cultural differences are connected by shared experiences and common responsibility to build people-centered cities that respect local culture. ”

“ASEAN shares many experiences. We may have different languages, histories, and traditions, but we also share common challenges, and a common responsibility to build cities that care for people, respect culture, and prepare for the future,” dagdag pa ni Moreno.

Dumalo din ang mga architects at delegates galing ng iba-ibang bansa sa opening day upang magpalitan ng mga ideya ukol sa architecture.
