Hidilyn magtatayo ng weightlifting academy sa Rizal

HABANG abala sa kanyang preparasyon para sa 2024 Summer Olympics sa France, ay inilunsad ni Olympic gold medalist weighlifter Hidilyn Diaz Linggo ang weightlifting academy sa Rizal.

Sa Instagaram post Linggo, Ipinahayag ni Diaz ang groundbreaking ng HD Weightlifting Academy sa Jala-Jala, Rizal kung saan ang next generation ng Philippine weighlifting ay puweding mag training.

“This is just so important to me, as I prepare for the Paris 2024, I have a place to train together with the kids who dream to be in the national team, be a world champion and Olympic medalist,” sulat niya. “We can’t wait to see, hopefully, after four months, from the temporary gym to our soon-to-be training camp preparing for the Paris Olympics, and joining us, the soon to be weightlifting champions!”

Sinabi ng kanyang asawa,coach, Julius Naranjo, na pangarap ni Diaz na ibalik ang sports of weighlifting na ibalik sa Pilipinas.

“This has been [Hidilyn’s] dream to give back to weightlifting. For me to continue to give back to the Philippines and find myself as a Filipino,” Wika ni Naranjo sa magkahiwalay na Instagram post.

Diaz ay kasalukuyang naghahanda para sa Paris Olympics sa susunod na taon sa kanyang bagong 59-kilogram weight class at sariwa pa sa pagsabak sa 19th Asian Games sa Hangzhou,China.
