Aniya these scenarios include not only territorial incursions and maritime security challenges but also large-scale humanitarian crises and hybrid threats, which demand more than just conventional warfighting skills.

Samantala ipinaliwanag naman ni Brig. Gen. Jonathan M. Velishka of the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division emphasized the significance of synchronized operations in strengthening regional stability “It’s about unity of effort,”

Salaknib Phase II features the deployment of the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center-Exportable (JPMRC-X), a forward-deployed simulation environment where Philippine and U.S. troops rehearse tactical missions, operational maneuvering, convoy movements, and live-fire exercises under battlefield-like conditions.

The drills also reflect a broader strategy reassuring allies, deterring adversaries, and reaffirming the Philippines’ sovereignty over its territory, especially amid ongoing tensions in the West Philippine Sea.

In coordination with the Philippine National Police, Coast Guard, and Civil Aviation Authority adds a multi-domain layer to the exercise, enhancing the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) capabilities in both external defense and internal crisis management.(Thony D. Arcenal)
