I was talking to Rambo Labay of Radyo Kayumanggi inside Kamuning Bakery when Good News Manila’s Jonel Uy with his wife came in. We would have lunch first at Wilson Lee Flores’ Pandesal Forum before the 2 p.m. media launch of Tiktok video competition to be sponsored by the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc to showcase legacy of 6,500 rural public school donations.
FFCCCII is an umbrella business organization representing a nationwide network of Filipino Chinese chambers of commerce throughout the Philippines. Committed to national progress, the FFCCCII actively engages in economic programs and civic projects, with the “Operation Barrio Schools” project being one of its most significant and enduring civic contributions to Philippine society.
After lunch, we went inside the Kamuning Bakery’s Pandesal Forum. I was surprised to see multi-awarded Abante Tonite entertainment editor Roldan Frias Castro, the anchor of Showbiz Pulis of DWAR Abante Radyo (the station where I, together with awards committee chairman Nirro Marcelo of the 4th Philippines Finest Business Awards and Outstanding Achievers, would be guesting on March 13 in Jigo Live! show). Mr. Castro and I shook hands as a sign of greeting and I was happy to see him there.
Moments later, a man approached me for he saw an identification card in Kamuning Bakery. Earlier, he said he was trying to look for the card’s owner and he found out it belonged to me.
I hurriedly looked for him to thank him. I found out he is a cameraman working for GMA Network. His name is Ruel Galero.
After the presscon, I saw the lifestyle and entertainment editors from the Philippine Star and Manila Times.
