BOC – PORT OF SUBIC , NAG-PULLOUT NG APAT PANG “PRIORITY OVERSTAYING CONTAINERS” PARA IDISPATSA

Inihayag ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Subic ang pag-pullout nito ng karagdagang apat na priority overstaying containers para sa kaukulang ‘condemnation and disposal’ at bunga niyan ay umabot na ang kabuuang bilang ng condemned containers sa ??5, mula sa 118 priority overstaying containers na ‘identified for urgent disposition.’

“These containers contain assorted agricultural and processed products that have been seized or abandoned in previous years. Due to their prolonged storage, the contents have deteriorated, emitting foul odors and posing potential health and environmental hazards within the Port,” ayon sa BOC na pinamumunuan ni Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno.

Dagdag pa nito: “The continuous pull-out and disposal of these priority containers form part of the Port’s intensified decongestion and sanitation efforts to eliminate health risks, safeguard the welfare of port personnel and stakeholders, and ensure the safe and efficient operations of the Port of Subic.”

Napag-alaman na bago pa maupo sa puwesto si Ronald Pingoy Arzadon bilang BOC chief of the auction and cargo disposal unit at concurrent chief ng formal entry division sa Subic, wala ni isang disposal ang naganap.

Ayon kay Arzadon, noong May 4, 2026 ay umabot na sa2 5 disposals ang kanyang nagawa at ito ay nagpapatuloy pa.

Ang mga nasabing containers, aniya, ay naroon na mula pa 2021.

“The Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic remains committed to the prompt and lawful disposition of all remaining priority containers in accordance with existing laws and regulations, in close coordination with concerned government agencies and accredited waste management service providers,” ani Arzadon.
