Comelec naglaan na ng P8.5 billion para sa Barangay at SK Elections

NAGLAAN na ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) ng P8.5 billion para sa Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) sa December 5 ng taon.
“Based on the updated statement of allotment obligations and balances, the budget for the 2022 BSKE consisting of allotments and the corresponding cash allocations is in the total amount of P8,441,280,000,” sabi ni Comelec spokesman John Rex Laudiangco, ayon na rin sa record Comelec Finance Service Department.
Sinabi ni Laudiangco na puspusan na ang paghahanda ng poll body kahit na isinusulong ng ilang mambabatas ang pagpaliban uli sa BSKE.
“Comelec will continue with its preparations until such time that there is a Republic Act promulgated and signed, stating that barangay elections are postponed, reset or rescheduled,” sabi ni Laudiangco.
Ibinalita rin ni Laudiangco na mahigit na sa 1.7 million ang mga bagong nagpatalang botante simula nang buksan ang voters registration mula July 4 hanggang 23. Inaasahang aabot ng 2 milyon ang mga bagong botante.
