CDM Fernandez:Vietnam SEAGames venues bukas na sa spectators

IPINAHAYAG ni Philippine Sports Commission Commissioner Ramon Fernandez na papayagan nang makapanood ng live ang mga spectators upang i- cheer ang kani-kanilang atleta sa competition venues ng 31st Southeast Asian Games sa Hanoi, Vietnam.

Si SEAGames Chef de Mission Fernandez ay dumalo sa kauna-unahang chef de mission meeting sa Hyatt Regency West Hanoi kung saan lahat ng 11 CDMs ng 11 national Olympic committee ang dumalo kamakalawa.

“The host country will open the venues to fans and spectators as long as they strictly follow health and safety protocols,” wika ni Fernandez, na dumalo sa pulong kasama si Liza Ner ng PSC International Games Secretariat.

Bukod sa football event, sinabi ni Fernandez na walang bayad ang entrance sa lahat ng competition venues ng 39 sports mula sa opening ceremonies ng Games ngayon hanggang sa closing rites sa May 23.

“Tickets will only be sold during football matches where a large volume of spectators are expected,” ani Fernandez.”With the gates opened to the public, safety of the athletes from contracting the COVID-19 virus is foremost” dagdag pa niya na inayunan din ng Indonesia at Singapore na supotado ng lahat ng CDMs.

“Vietnam organizers assured that health protocols will be in place by wearing masks and the strict implementation of social distancing,’’ ani pa Fernandez.

Napag-usapan din sa pulong ang mahahalagang bagay tulad ng paglalagay ng medical room partikular sa headquarters ng Philippine delegation pati rin ang proseso para sa opening rites.

Ang partisipasyon ng Pilipinas sa naturang 11-nation multi-sports meet ay pinondohan ng PSC, ang sangay ng gonyernong may timon upang itaguyod ang pagdepensa ng overall championship ng 980-strong delegation, kabilang na ang 641 athletes mula 38 sports.
