BINABATI ko ang Mabalacat City College (MCC) sa Mabalacat City, Pampanga na pinuri ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos sa kanyang SONA 2024. Ang MCC ay nagwagi ng prestiyosong award para sa Technological or Digital Innovation of the Year ng Times Higher Education sa Inglatera.

Salamat kay Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, ang presidente ng Mabalacat City College. Siya’y naging producer din ng mga pelikulang Kapampangan ni direk Carlo Enciso Catu at naging TV host ng isang weekly public affairs program sa GNNTV 44 sa Pampanga (more on her sa susunod na artikulo sa kolum ko).

Sa MCC ako nagturo ng mga economics, organizational management, human behavior in organization, entrepreneurial mind, principles of marketing at international marketing subjects.

SI Louie Heredia ay nakilala sa kantang Nag-iisang Ikaw na naging isang Double Platinum Record Award at tumatak sa isip ng mga Pinoy na mahilig sa Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

Sabi ni Louie sa akin: “My bosses at Vicor Music Corp. wanted me to sing Tagalog songs because they felt that I would be able to reach to the masses more if I sang Tagalog songs. So they gave me Nag-iisang Ikaw, composed and tailor-made by one of the country’s top composers Vehnee Saturno. At first I did not want to sing this song since I found it so baduy and (it was) not my style but an insider in Vicor told me that if I did not record the song, they would release me of my contract with them. So, I had no choice but to record the song.”

Dugtong pa ni Louie, na pamangkin ni former First Gentleman Atty. Mike Arroyo at kamag-anak ng mga second cousins ko sa Heredia side: “Vehnee Saturno, aside from being the composer of the song, was also assigned to be the producer of the song. He guided me every inch of the way during the recording of Nag-iisang Ikaw, and I guess we did everything right since the song gave me a Double Platinum Record Award and this is the same song that made Louie Heredia. To this date, many other top performers have revived Nag- iisang Ikaw.”

Madalas si Louie sa Tagaytay City sa ngayon.

Sinusuportahan ni Louie ang ating kasalukuyang pambatong kandidata, si Chelsea Manalo, sa darating na 73rd Miss Universe beauty pageant sa Mexico sa Setyembre 2024.
