3 opisyal ng Sunwest nalusutan pag-aresto ng PNP at NBI

HINDI natagpuan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at Philippine National Police–Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) sa isang hotel sa Pasay City ang tatlong opisyal ng Sunwest Incorporated na kabilang sa mga pinaaaresto ng Sandiganbayan.

Ito ang tatlong miyembro ng Board of Directors ng Sunwest na sina Consuelo Aldon, Noel Cao at Anthony Ngo na sangkot sa maanomalyang flood control projects sa Oriental Mindoro.

Ayon kay Criminal Investigation Division Group-National Capital Region (CIDG-NCR) Chief, Colonel John Guiagui, nakatanggap ng ulat noong Huwebes na itinago ang mga opisyal sa hotel at nagpanggap na mga empleyado.

Nagsagawa naman ng inspeksyon ang higit 100 tauhan ng CIDG at NBI sa lahat ng sampung palapag ng hotel nguni’t bigong makita ang mga naturang opisyal.

“The operation includes serving the warrants of arrest against the three board directors of Sunwest. Unfortunately, they were not here but based on the information we received yesterday, they were hidden here and had been posing as hotel employees,” ani Guiagui.

“Based on the information we received, Sunwest is a subsidiary owner of Midas Hotel,” dagdag pa nito.

Iginiit ni Guiagui na hindi “overkill” ang pagpapakalat ng 100 tauhan. “It’s not overkill. How many floors are there? Ten. We have to cover everything. We checked everything one by one, the rooms, the kitchen, even housekeeping.”

Hinikayat ni Guiagui ang mga akusado sa maanomalyang P289.5 milyong road dike project sa Oriental Mindoro na sumuko na sa mga awtoridad dahil hindi sila titigilan ng batas.(Mark Obleada)
