INIHAYAG ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang impormasyon mula sa umano’y isang mapagkakatiwalaang diplomatic source na nasa Paris si dating Ako Bicol party-list Representative Zaldy Co.
Ayon kay DFA Secretary Maria Theresa Lazaro, mahigpit na mino-monitor ng Philippine Embassy sa France ang naturang impormasyon.
“The information that he is in Paris came from a highly regarded diploma-tic source, which I cannot reveal because it was said to us in confidence,” ani Lazaro.
“However, the embassy now is really looking intently on that,” dagdag pa niya.
Una nang inihayag ng Malacañang na posibleng humihingi si Co ng asylum sa France.
Si Co ay may arrest warrant kaugnay ng anomalya sa flood control projects.
