Ano ang mantsa sa buhay ni Ms. Pilar Pilapil?

ANG veteran actress na si Ms. Pilar Pilapil ay isa sa tampok sa pelikulang “Mantsa.” Ito ay isang psychological thriller movie na mula sa pamamahala ng batikang director na si Louie Ignacio.

Sa estado ng kanyang showbiz career, palagay ba niya wala na siyang dapat patunayan pa bilang artista?

Aniya, “Well, you learn everyday, even if you’re already of age… you’ll still learn, you’ll still learn.

“Kasi, iba-iba ang sitwasyon that you encounter each time. Hindi naman pare-pareho e, so you’ll still learn as you grow older. There is never an age to learning, you’re always learning everyday.”

Kailan niya masasabing successful siya sa mundo ng showbiz?

Esplika niya, “Well the fact that I am still here at this age, that means I am successful in the business. Because if I was not, then you would not see me here anymore.

“So, that means the longevity, the years of being in the business… The many, many movies – more than a hundred movies that I’ve done, the many, many television shows that I’ve done, shows you that there is success there.”

Natanong din siya sa naturang presscon kung may mantsa ba sa kanyang buhay na hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin natatanggal?

“Lahat tayo may mga mantsa sa buhay, mantsa could possibly happen in your life because of sin, right? Hindi naman mantsa sa damit iyon e, mantsa sa buhay mo. So, it could be because of sin or because of the wrong decision in your life.

“So, paano mo ba makakalimutan iyon? The only time na makakalimutan mo iyong mantsa sa buhay mo is, first of all, you have to forgive yourself for all of those mistakes. Kailangan mong i-forgive ang sarili mo, para ma-release mo iyon. And of course, you have to asked forgiveness, of course.

“Pero first of all, sarili mo muna, kailangang papatawarin mo muna iyong sarili mo. That’s the only time na mare-release na iyong kung ano man iyong nangyari sa buhay mo,” mahabang tugon ni Ms. Pilar.

Ang veteran actress ay gumaganap bilang si Lola Pacita sa Mantsa.

Aniya, “Lola Pacita lives in an island all by herself together with her daughter and she deals with her grandchildren and all things that happened in the past in that house. So she is probably a simple, old woman with a lot of complexities in the situations in the family.”

Ang pelikula ay hatid ng Dragon Entertainment Productions nina Bambbi Fuentes at Tine Areola. Co-producer dito si Mr. Ric Valenzuela.
