“We have proven that we can compete internationally. It’s nice to hear the national anthem of the Philippines,” wika ng 14-year-old Amante, na triple gold medalist sa Palarong Pambansa sa Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur nakaraang Mayo.
Amante at Cabides ay classmates sa Grade 8 sa Teodoro Alonzo High School.
“This is all too surreal. We really did not expect it. It was only a dream,” wika ng 11-year-old Ladaran.
“I am very proud of both pairs. The journey of the children was also difficult and their training, so I am very happy with the result,” sambit ng coach at dating national team athlete Carlo Joshua Tangonan.
